Latino Soul Community Forum

With the new Latino Soul website I hope to bring together a "community" of readers and writers whose interests include the first edition of Latino Soul and all future editions (and we hope that there will be more editions!). For me, one of the best parts of producing Latino Soul has been the ongoing and heartwarming contact I have had with Latino/a people across the country who come from all walks of life, and who have inspired me in countless ways.

My hope for the Community Forum is that this contact zone will grow and develop, so that writers who have stories to tell can find each other here in a way that fosters collaboration, discussion, and solidarity. To this end, this section will include a weekly Featured Story discussion, an Author/Reader Forum, a Special Events Forum (look for upcoming news about our winter speical event!), and a monthly Guest Column written by one of the contributing authors. But you don't have to be a writer, or even Latino/a, to participate as part of the Latino Soul community. All you really need is an interest in and respect for Latino life in all of its diverse expressions. This forum is a space for sharing stories and poems, for posting information, for feedback, for questions, for expressions of interest, for friendship.
